David P. Dolgen is a Principal of Dolgen Ventures, a private equity firm with a focus on real estate. His current focus is impact investment aimed at satisfying housing needs of the working and middle class, while helping to solve challenges caused by America’s housing and mortgage crisis. Prior to forming Dolgen Ventures with his wife and Co-Principal Ellen, Mr. Dolgen was CEO of SVP Investments, a private equity firm investing in undervalued real estate and business opportunities. In addition to becoming a founding member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Arizona and Chairman of the Tucson, Arizona, Mayor’s Task Force for Economic Development, he’s also served on the Pima County and the City of Tucson Bond Committees, the Angel Charity for Children Board, the University Of Arizona-Office of Cultural Affairs and as a member of the San Diego Advisory Board of U.S. Bank. Recently, Mr. Dolgen served on the National Finance Committee of “Obama for America” and as Co-Chair of President Obama’s Inaugural Finance Committee. Mr. Dolgen is the past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the La Jolla Playhouse and a member of its Executive & Finance Boards.
